Housing, Land and Ownership in Area C of the West Bank from the Perspective of Operative Law

Land and Ownership in Area C of the West Bank from the Perspective of Operative Law.


A detailed presentation was made on legal tools needed to understand Israeli policies in the West Bank, particularly in Area C and East Jerusalem. In these areas, land issues are under full Israeli control.

The workshop included an informed discussion of the body of legislation and complicated practices, which govern land ownership, registration, use, and construction in Area C and East Jerusalem.

In addition to IoL researchers with a particular interest in housing and land issues in the West Bank, the workshop brought together a select number of law students at the Faculty of Law and Public Administration.
