The human rights community is the primary source of information for a range of influential audiences, and a major force in shaping the public conversation. On the individual level, organizations have provided concrete aid and assistance to hundreds of thousands of people. The work of human rights organizations influences diplomatic and political processes, and has contributed to concrete policy changes that improve human rights.
